What we collect

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

- To deliver our services if you become a client: performance of our contract with you.
- To keep the website secure and working: our legitimate interest in running a safe website.
- To meet legal and accounting duties: legal obligation.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives contact form submissions on our behalf.
- Namecheap, Inc. provides our business email.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants, where needed, and authorities where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards UK and EU law require, such as adequacy regulations, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension, or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as we work together and then for as long as tax and company law requires, usually six years.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you or another organisation in a portable format. Email business@moonsight.co.uk. We’ll reply within one month.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority in your country.
